Outline

In the Genroku era, To-kuro Kageyama, who served the Asano Clan of the Aki Hiroshima Domain, left his hometown and went to Edo to escape from a feud with his mother.
His wife Katsura, whom he had married on the instruction of his mother, had an unsightly scar on her face. The distance between To-kuro and his wife did not seem to get closer because of this.
Meanwhile, a bloody incident had occurred in the palace brought about by the lord of the Ako Domain…
As his wife Katsura knew that To-kuro valued the social rules governing clans and samurai, she encouraged him to support the Ako Domain. To-kuro found a way of life as a samurai in the loyalty shown by the samurai of the Ako Domain, which gradually helped shorten the distance between him and Katsura.
One day, however, To-kuro ended up killing Katsura after she killed a dog.
Accompanied by a violin playing a melody of love and hatred.
