劇団キンセアニェーラの最終公演。
それは将来を期待された
振鳥日日絵(ふりどりひびえ)の過去作品集。
最終公演で過去作品集をするのはある事情があった。
前回公演終了後、脚本と演出を担当する日日絵が突然失踪したのだ。
会場をすでにおさえていた劇団員たちは、脚本家・演出家【不在】の最終公演を行うことになった。

公演に向けた稽古中のある日、劇団代表トロの元に、元劇団員の羽世(はねよ)がやってくる。

羽世は、自分の結婚式に旧知である日日絵を呼びたいと言う。
劇団代表のトロは複雑な心境を整理できず、羽世に諦めるよう諭す。

日日絵の心がわからない。
けれど、日日絵の心の発露である過去の作品とは向き合わなければいけない日々。

劇団員とその関係者たちは、日日絵不在の稽古場で「あいまいな喪失感」に飲み込まれてゆくのだった。

人のこころと、のこされた人たちの、こころがめぐりあう物語。

かつて時代劇映画の黄金期を支えた富良根都撮影所は、衰退の一途をたどっていた。
銀幕スターを夢見て上京した☆子(すたこ)は、危機感の無い撮影所の面々に不満を抱えていた。
ある日、オーナーの娘である茉莉は「一カ月後に、無駄なこの撮影所を潰してスイーツアトラクション施設を建てる」と言い出す。困った関係者たちは、すごい映画を作って見返してやろうと意気込む。黄金期のような活気を取り戻していくスタッフ達。しかしそんな中、妹から「実家が大変だ」と聞いた☆子は、泣く泣く実家のある田舎惑星「たもつ星」に帰星（帰省）。
そこで☆子が見たものは、変わり果てた実家の姿だった……。
